Late.com (Dublin, Ireland)

By far the most nicest, genuine, welcoming people I have met on all my trips are Irish people. This post is sooo late.com! lol! It should have been posted on St. Patrick’s day. But anyway…this picture of the St. Patrick’s Cathedral (founded in 1191) was taken last year when I visited Ireland…I absolutely love this view!!

A Taste of Girardot

“One of my first dinners in Girardot.. a delicious “callentado” = rice and beans, minced meat, fried egg, plantain and a little arepa to soak up all the juices.. It was AMAZING but also …”

If you know me very well, you will know that I get overwhelmed with the little things in life, such as this foooood above! This is a Colombian dish called “callentado” and the first thing that came to mind when I saw this was how much I miss eating “waakye.”! Now, if you are African, and for that matter Ghanaian, then hopefully we are thinking alike. But of course, a Ghanaian bowl of waakye would look a little much different from the above (well…maybe not just little lol)

Hello World!

So I am lying in bed right now replaying all of last night’s shenanigans in my head (smiling while typing lol) and how much fun I had with the whole crew (study abroad friends) bar hopping in the City Centre!! Last Night was amazing!

I have thought about blogging for a couple of years now. I just didn’t know what to blog about, and I didn’t think of my life as that interesting to wanna blog. I loved writing, growing up as a teenager. I would write long letters to friends and family, I wrote poems and short stories, I always kept a diary/journal, and I always partook in writing contests. Somewhere along the line, my busy life schedules stole that passion. Uhmm..maybe that’s not a tangible reason. lol.

I like to think of this as going back to writing. Maybe I will share some poetry. Maybe not. Contrary to all this, my love for Travel knows no boundaries. Welcome to my Travel Blog…and some of my life’s events and stories.
